Novo Are Proud to Announce Partnership with London to Brighton EV Rally
The 18th July 2021 sees the UK’s first Electric Vehicle (EV) rally taking place along the famous London to Brighton route, previously used by more traditionally-powered machines. The London to Brighton EV Rally is the first of its type in England and showcases the latest in Electric and Solar vehicles from the automotive, leisure and manufacturing sectors.
The event is open to a mixture of commercial and Passenger vehicles, all of which will compete in a scrutinised and moderated race to the finish; there will be a number of categories and awards for enthusiasts of all kinds. Among the many entries received so far, the rally will feature Renault’s electric microcar, the Twizy, solar powered cars, alongside self-build vehicles, including one built from a former chicken coup!
As mentioned, the rally takes place on Sunday 18th July and will start on the banks of the River Thames, covering over 58 miles and passing through beautiful Sussex and Surrey countryside before finishing on Madeira Drive, Brighton Beach’s world famous promenade.
Novo are proud to announce that not only will we be taking part in the rally and be part of the post-rally event (we’ll have a stand at the Beach E-village, on Madeira Drive), we will also be the main sponsor of the post-event Award Ceremony at Brighton’s prestigious Grand Hotel. We will also be showcasing an EV of our own in the rally and you will see the Novo name and logo signposted throughout the event!

The E-village at the event will host an array of showcases, displays, entertainment, food and drink along with the coveted award ceremony at the Grand Hotel Brighton with prizes for participants with the lowest energy consumption and general performance across all categories.
